I have over 1500 scanned slides saved on my hard drive, a couple of hundred of which I wanted to put on a web site. Trying to think of broad categories to organize them for a web page was more difficult than I expected. Two categories, landscapes and wildlife, seemed obvious enough classifications for a lot of the photos. That left many pictures I liked and wanted to share but couldn't reasonably categorize as either landscape or wildlife.

Then I saw that my friend and excellent bird photographer Gloria Hopkins had a link to my old web site from her web site, describing my photography as "Travel / Europe." Gloria's site is really nice, and she seems to know what she is doing, so I defer to her for my third category.

At the request of my beautiful wife, I have split a few of these off into their own Washington, DC page. Although there's nothing new there, it separates the DC shots into a page of their own.
