Panda Bear

Is this Ling Ling? Sing Sing? Tien Tien? I forget. I guess I should look it up. In any case, during a break from shooting the wild birds nesting at the National Zoo, we decided to shoot some of the captive animals. This is the male Panda enjoying some bamboo. I shot this with the zoo's official photographer, who had warned me that he closes his eyes when he chews and it's tough to get a shot with his eyes open. I have several shots of him, some with open eyes, but I liked this pose best.
