Daylily

I did not know the name of this flower, but I thought it looked nice. My friend Steve Aubuchon tells me it is a Daylily. He fancies himself quite the gardener, so I listen to him. Though this is not my favorite shot, a couple of things I particularly like are the short depth of field and how the stems, obscured by vegetation, fade from view at the bottom of the frame.

This was shot during a business trip to Chicago, on a side trip to the rural town of Galena, Illinois.
