Kona, Hawaii

A very plain shot in my opinion, but my wife likes it, so I've included it. The sunsets in Hawaii are as beautiful as one would imagine. This was shot just north of Kona, near a couple of large resort hotels, each of which had three or four giant pools complete with outdoor bars, planted palm trees, manicured lawns, golf courses, and an army of workers to carry drinks and towels to the guests. While the resorts seemed to be a tropical paradise right out of a travel brochure, I am glad we visited as much of the Island as we did, not missing out on the quirky remote areas, the rain forests with the hungry mosquitoes, and the volcanoes.
