Sika

I have had help in identifying this animal. It is a Sika, a miniature species of Asian Elk introduced to Chincoteague around 1920. Most people call them "Sika deer," which confuses things a bit because they are actually elk, and there are other species of deer at Chincoteague. This is a pregnant doe.
