Chincoteague, Virginia

I shot this a long time ago, and the top third or so was the banner for my old web page. What I don't remember is if the colors here are true to the slide. Normally, I try to match the slide exactly on the screen, but here everything is so purple I wonder if I didn't bump up saturation in the image editor. With Velvia, you never know -- this may well match the slide. I have not dug up the slide to check. In any event, I do remember that this was a beautiful sunrise at Chincoteague NWR in 1999. It is interesting to me to see so much water from the road to Tom's Cove, looking back to the Wildlife Loop area of the Refuge.
It has been much drier the past two years.
