Great Egret Yet another shot of a Great Egret. I have hundreds Great Egret shots that I noticed as I was paging through them on my hard drive. Maybe I'll add them to the end once I've finished with the descriptions of the photos currently on the Wildlife pages. This is not the best-looking Great Egret, but it makes for a nice profile portrait in the overcast light. The lores are still pretty green, so I am guessing this bird was in breeding plumage.
