Canada Goose

Canada Goose portrait. Canada Geese have become so common that they are becoming a nuisance species in much of the United States, most notably on golf courses, where groundskeepers have tried just about everything to get rid of them. They are a brazen species, and it is easy to get close to them to shoot pictures. Because they are easy to approach and are so common, like gulls, they are something of a "practice" bird for a lot of beginning bird photographers. This shot was taken in Chincoteague.
