"Keep The Wild In Wildlife" A Ring-billed Gull hoping nobody pays attention to the sign along the Chincoteague NWR Wildlife Loop. In the background, Canada Geese feed. This was a grab shot I nearly passed up as I was driving out of Chincoteague for lunch one day. I'm glad I shot it, because usually I am so concentrated on the narrow angle of view of my telephoto lenses and on keeping the "hand of man" out of the shot that I miss shots showing more of the Chincoteague environment. While not technically perfect, I enjoy the framing and compositional balance of the birds on the right side, and I like the wider view, which better reminds me of the Refuge than the "straight" wildlife portraits I usually take there.
