Ponte Santa Trinita The city of Florence reflected in the Arno River. You can see it was a very overcast day. Normally, I try to keep the sky out of a composition like this when it is overcast. The other Arno reflection shots on the web page are good examples of how I'd normally shoot this scene -- white skies are ugly, so it's usually a good idea to keep them out of the frame whenever possible. Here however, the water was so still, the reflection so perfect, I decided to ignore my instincts and take a wider shot to include more of the buildings.
