Top of the Spanish Steps

A post-sunset view of the top of the very popular Spanish Steps (the Piazza di Spagna), so named because over 300 years ago, this building was the site of the Spanish Embassy. The Steps are a favorite nighttime hangout, and we walked past it almost every time we went back to our hotel from a night of walking around. I took this shot the same evening (but later) and from nearly the same spot as the shots of the sunset and silhouette domes.

To see this building without the wide angle distortion,
take a look at this photo, a view from the bottom of the Steps.
