Sunrise in Washington This was taken about fifteen minutes earlier than a previous shot, and the fog is more visible here. Like the previous shot, this one breaks a rule by cutting off the top of the Washington Monument. As a horizontal, I think this one might get away with it a little better. I really like this shot. I think it is interesting to see how film resolves the colors of different light sources differently. Look at the lamp posts along the street below the sun. You can see that a tungsten bulb (orange) has replaced the bulb of the leftmost lamp, while the others are sodium vapor (green).
