Ring-billed Gull

Gulls are one of the more difficult birds to identify with any certainty because the various species look similar and they hybridize frequently. I am guessing this is an adult Ring-billed. I took this shot from as low a position as I could get in one of the parking lots at the beach in Chincoteague, Virginia.

Although this is a common bird, I like the very narrow depth of field and the color palette in this photo.
